Model Description
Manufactured 2012, serial number 050 of a total of 100 models built, in color silver-metallic with brown seat, absolutely perfect painting without any signs of playing, overall in brand new condition, all functions are tested and working perfect, all parts from the model are authentic to the year of production, with numbered cheque card certificate, original win-up key and acrylic glass display case with slight traces of storage.
Things to know about the Schuco Studio I 1050 Race-car "100 Years Schuco 1912-2012"
To mark the company's 100th anniversary in 2012, Schuco came up with something very special and produced a large offshoot of the legendary and most-built of all Schuco models, the Studio I 1050, in an approximate scale of 1:8 in a one-off edition of just 100 units. With an overall length of just over half a metre and a weight of around ten kilos, the model is impressive for its dimensions alone. It also stands in a high-quality acrylic glass display case measuring 64 x 43 x 26 cm (length x width x height, not shown in the photos), the black acrylic base of which bears the model's serial number on an engraved plaque. As with the small prototype, the steering is movable and the steering wheel and wheels can be removed. The model is intended as a work of art, was created as a sculpture and therefore has no other functions. In this sense, it is not a ‘model with history’, but it is certainly a model that will make history.
