Privacy and Security

We value your trust and take the utmost care and apply the highest security standards to protect your personal data from unauthorised access. Your order and your personal data are protected by technical security systems and additional authorisation procedures. This applies both to the transfer of data and to its storage on our servers. Our data protection regulations comply with the latest versions of the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG), the Telemedia Act (TMG) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Nevertheless, we would like to point out that data transmission over the Internet (e.g. when communicating by e-mail) can have security gaps. It is not possible to completely protect data from access by third parties.

We refuse to pass on data to third parties!

1. Use of your data
When processing data, your interests worthy of protection are always taken into account in accordance with legal provisions. We only process your personal data for order processing and customer relationship management purposes.

2. Our technical standards
We use the SSL (Secure Socket Layer) security system in conjunction with 256-bit encryption for data transfer. This technology offers maximum security and is therefore also used by banks, for example, to protect data during online banking. You can recognise that data is being transmitted in encrypted form by the closed display of a key or lock symbol in the lower status bar of your browser.

3. Access data
We collect data about visits to our website and store this data in log files. This means that data about the website visited, the time of access, the amount of data sent in bytes, the source or reference from which you came to our site, the browser and operating system used, and the IP address used are collected. This data is used solely for internal statistical analysis and to improve our website. Furthermore, IP anonymisation is used on this site. Your IP address is truncated within the member states of the EU and the European Economic Area. This truncation removes the personal reference from your IP address. We reserve the right to check server log files retrospectively if there are concrete indications of illegal or fraudulent activity.

4. Ordering process
In order to place orders via our website, each customer must provide their first and last name, address, telephone number and email address. This data is stored by us for the purpose of order processing. Furthermore, we will pass on this data to the parcel service provider DHL (DHL Vertriebs GmbH, Charles-de-Gaulle-Straße 20, 52113 Bonn, Germany) for the delivery of your order.

5. Security in payment transactions
Peter Nasshan Modellautos offers payment on account within Germany. This payment method is comprehensively protected by the security standards mentioned above. If you are an international customer paying by credit card, we have incorporated an additional security measure: we grant this by requesting the credit card verification number during the ordering process under ‘Payment method’. The three-digit card verification number can be found in the signature field on the back of your credit card.

Your credit card details are not stored by Peter Nasshan Modellautos, but are transferred directly via an encrypted and therefore secure connection to Computop Paygate GmbH, Bamberg, where they are processed in compliance with data protection requirements for the processing of your payments. In addition, we naturally comply with the requirements of the prescribed Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS).

6. Online customer account
To make your shopping experience as convenient as possible, we offer you the option of permanently storing your personal data in a password-protected customer account. Registration is voluntary. Once you have set up a customer account, you will not need to re-enter your data. You can also view and change the data stored in your customer account at any time or delete your customer account. Please note that deleting your customer account online only causes it to be deleted from our web shop system. This does not necessarily mean that it will be deleted from downstream systems. In addition to the data requested when placing an order, you must enter a password of your choice to set up a customer account. This password, together with your email address, is used to access your customer account.

7. Authorisation, modification and deletion of personal data
You can view, edit and delete your own data at any time in the ‘My Account’ area by entering your email address and password. If you forget your password, we offer a special service: in the ‘My Account’ section, you will find a ‘Forgotten password’ link on the right-hand side of the login page, which will take you to a form that you should fill out and send to us, stating the email address we have on file for you. We will send a replacement password to this email address. This is risk-free even if a third party attempts to access your data because they know your email address. This is because the password will always be sent to your email address, which only you have access to. Please note: You should not disclose your password to third parties, always log out of your personal account after use and use SSL encryption during the ordering process whenever we offer it.

8. Newsletter
We offer a newsletter service that informs you about current offers. If you would like to subscribe to the newsletter, you must enter a valid email address and confirm your subscription using the double opt-in procedure. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time in the same way or by clicking on ‘Unsubscribe from newsletter’ at the end of the newsletter.

9. Use of cookies
Cookies are small files that are used as identification markers. We transfer these to your computer's hard drive via your web browser and can read them during your current visit to Peter Nasshan Model Cars and during subsequent visits. Our cookies are protected against being read by third parties using your browser's security standards. While our short-term cookies (‘session cookies’) are unencrypted, we use pseudonymisation for permanent cookies to protect your data. Cookies enable our systems to recognise your browser.

The help function in the menu bar of most web browsers explains how to prevent your browser from accepting new cookies, how to have your browser notify you when you receive a new cookie, or how to disable all cookies. However, we recommend that you leave the cookie functions fully enabled.

Information obtained through cookies is used solely for the purpose of tailoring our services to customer requirements and making your browsing experience as convenient as possible.

10. Right to information, correction, deletion and blocking of your data
Upon request, we will provide you with information about the data stored about you free of charge. If you wish to do so, please send us a message using the contact details below or contact us in person. We are also obliged to correct, block or delete the data stored about you upon request.

11. Storage of your data in accordance with commercial and tax law
Peter Nasshan Modellautos stores the information required under commercial and tax law for the periods specified by law. During this period (usually eight years), the data will only be reprocessed in the event of an audit by the tax authorities, for economic and tax audit purposes, and to investigate possible criminal offences. If your request is not subject to the statutory retention periods, your data will be deleted once the processing purpose has expired.
